Fuerteventura's Weather
Fuerteventura enjoys one of the best climates in the world — earning the Canary Islands the nickname "the Islands of Eternal Spring". With over 3,000 hours of sunshine per year and very little rainfall, it's a superb destination in any month.
The island sits just 100km off the coast of West Africa, which keeps temperatures warm and stable year-round. Summer highs reach the low 30s°C, while even in the depths of winter you can expect pleasant temperatures in the mid-teens to low 20s. The trade winds that blow off the Atlantic keep the heat comfortable and make the island a paradise for windsurfers and kitesurfers.
Corralejo, in the north of the island, typically enjoys slightly cooler and breezier conditions than the south — ideal for those who prefer sunshine without the fierce heat.
